Shiitake Mushroom

What it is: Known as a food and medicine for thousands of years in Far East countries including China, Korea and Japan, shiitake mushroom has historically been used in traditional Chinese herbal medicine to support immune system health.
What it does: Shiitake Mushroom is a source of fibre, B vitamins, amino acids, copper, potassium, selenium and antioxidants. It also contains an active component known as polysaccharides, which stimulate the immune system and have been linked to lowering blood cholesterol levels.
